Make sure that the ART GALLERY OF NOVA SCOTIA is a BIG part of your March Break plans! Sign up for an week-long art class, spend an afternoon drawing in the Gallery, join in on a Gallery tour, explore with gallery guide, and more!
Sign up for a week of creative fun in the studio facilitated by a local artist! Both half day and full day opportunities are available. Interactive discussions and activities inspired by the original artworks in the Gallery are a unique and inspiring component of this art experience!

Drop-in for the Sketching in the Gallery program facilitated by an artist on Wednesday, March 18th and Thursday, March 19th from 1:30 – 3:00pm.

The Pop Goes the Easel! Family Sunday is always a favourite. Join in on Sunday, March 15 for a creative afternoon with family and friends.
Everyday you can join a Gallery tour at 2:30 with a well-trained gallery guide who will engage the group in an interactive exploration of the Gallery.
March Break Roars into the Museum of Natural History

Museum of Natural History, Halifax
The Museum of Natural History is the place to visit this March Break. See the hit exhibit Dinosaurs Unearthed as you travel back 65 million years. Animatronic dinosaurs, real fossils and hands on interactive displays highlight this must see exhibit. The Museum is also pleased to welcome back Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo with live animals including rare, endangered animals including giant tortoises Boas and Lady-Chomps-A-Lot.
The Museum will also host different community organizations everyday with hands on programs and events for the whole family. There will be additional programs shows and events every day.

Come out for March Break on the farm. Each day of March Break will have a theme relating to the farm. As always there will be lots of hands on activities for everyone to enjoy and crafts that everyone can participate in throughout the day. Hot chocolate will be served. Weather permitting, there will be sleigh rides.
Halifax Dance
From jazz to hip hop to acro and more, Halifax Dance has lots of fun planned to keep your little ones busy.
Atlantic Cirque School of Circus Arts

Home Alone – A Safety Course for Kids

Home Alone is for 9-11 year olds who may have to spend a brief amount of time alone due to parents stuck in traffic, or any unforeseen circumstances. Students will learn home safety procedures, ways to obtain emergency help and when it is appropriate to call 911. Other topics include basic safety tips, healthy eating, fighting boredom, overcoming fears, and fire safety.
Dal Tigers Basketball Camp
For ages 8-15
Dal Tigers basketball camps provide an introduction to the game for novice players and an opportunity for more advanced players to enhance fundamental skills. Players will have the opportunity to enjoy a daily swim in the Dalplex pool and will receive an evaluation report at the conclusion of camp.
MSVU MARCH BREAK: Jungle Fever
Lions, tigers and bears…oh my! Come explore the Mount Jungle with us during this week of fun! We will learn about animals through games such as Extinction Excitement, Amazing Anemone and Deserted Desert. You will even get to create your very own Mystical Mount Creature to take home.
